source/expression_filter.cpp:294]: (style) Expression '(X & 0x80) == 0x1' is always false.

Source code is

    if (found != code_point_index().end() ||

        return true;

source/expression_filter.cpp:321]: (style) Expression '(X & 0x80) == 0x1' is always false.

I am using Subversion.
I got an error on building at "'adobe_platform_libraries/test/begin/jamfile.jam".

at line 204,

install examples
: [ glob ./examples/* ]
: <variant>release:<location>$(DEST_PATH)"release/Adobe Begin/examples"
<variant>debug:<location>$(DEST_PATH)"debug/Adobe Begin/examples"

If you use '*' to specify the target file, include an extra directory (.svn).
It is better to exclude the directory specified as with at line 178.

adobe::iter does not work

The following test program

#include <adobe/any_iterator.hpp>

int main()
{
int *p=0;
adobe::iter<int> it(p);
}

fails with

error: 'interface_ref' : is not a member of 'adobe::poly_iterator_instance<V,R,D>::type<I>

Seemingly the problem is that lines 62-63 of adobe/any_iterator.hpp

R dereference() const
{ return *this->interface_ref().get(); }

should read

R dereference() const
{ return *this->get(); }

net setup batch file doesn't work

I downloaded the net setup file 'asl_1.0.42_net_setup.bat' to obtain ASL, but the script is badly broken. The URLs for downloading various FTP packages are stale. There may be other problems too (e.g., VS2008 support?), but I don't get that far so I'm not sure about that.

poly: 1. wrong comments, 2. perhaps "assert" preconditions

Hi,

I was reading through <poly.hpp> source on ASL web [1].

1. There are wrong comments on lines 128, 170 - they accompany friend function, but mention "this": "// Precondition : this->type_info() == x.type_info()" --> solution: "this" should be "x" and "x" should be "y" (this comment was probably simply copy/pasted from above cases, where it is correct)

2. For the 2 functions mentioned above and other ones where there is a comment about a precondition - why not add an "assert(this->type_info() == x.type_info());" to the code? (I am still trying to figure the code out, but asserting preconditions looks like the right thing to do in debug builds).

Update Intel URL for network script

I noticed that the ASL network install script uses a stale URL for the Intel TBB package. Downloading the appropriate release and dropping it in the same directory as the script works just fine, but otherwise the script dies when it can’t find the package to extract it.
