AdPlug moves to GitHub

AdPlug development has now moved to GitHub! The website is now at http://adplug.github.io and the main repository is at http://github.com/adplug/adplug. AdPlay, the Winamp plugin and other modules are now in separate repositories. See the full list at http://github.com/adplug.

At last another release!

AdPlug 2.2 brings with it these changes:
- Support for JBM Adlib Music Format
- Support for new DOSBox .dro format
- New (more accurate) CMF player
- New surround sound/harmonic synth effect (sure beats mono!)
- Various bugfixes in D00, ROL and original DRO players

AdPlay/UNIX v1.7 has also been released:
- Default subsong matches file's default subsong
- New surround/harmonic synth is now the default
- ALSA playback fixes

New AdPlug suite released

Nearly the whole AdPlug suite has been updated today!

Version 2.1 of the AdPlug core library has been released. From the NEWS:
- New format support:
- ADL: Westwood ADL File Format
- Added OPL3 support:
- A2M: AdLib Tracker 2 versions 5-8
- All players are endian-clean now.
- Lots of security fixes (thanks to Luigi Auriemma).
- Fixed volume handling in AMD player.
- Fixed a buffer overflow in ROL player (thanks to HIGUCHI Daisuke).
- Fixed vibrato & volume slides in D00 player (thanks to Dennis Lindroos).
- Removed superfluous exit() call in RIX player (thanks to Martin Michlmayr).
- Enhanced generic Protracker player features:
- Supports up to 32 channels
- OPL3 output support
- New behavior flags and commands

Version 1.6 of AdPlay/UNIX has been released. From the NEWS:
- Added the following output mechanisms:
- libao: libao driver

Version 1.8 of AdPlug/Winamp has been released. From the NEWS:
- Fixed default for ignored filetypes.
- New default playback is in stereo.

Version 1.6a of AdPlay/DOS has been released. From the NEWS:

AdPlay/DOS 1.6 released

Here comes a (very) late release of AdPlay/DOS version 1.6! It has been delayed for over 6 months due to hardware resource constraints and still might not be thoroughly tested. Please report any found bugs!

- Updated to be fully compatible with the ISO standard C++ library.

AdPlug core library 2.0.1 released

Version 2.0.1 of the AdPlug core library was released today! It is a bugfix release, also fixing some security bugs. An update is strongly recommended!

AdPlug/Winamp 1.7 released

Version 1.7 of AdPlug/Winamp has been released today!

From the NEWS:
- Now using the GNU build-system and compiled with MinGW by default. This fixes a lot of bugs.
- MS Visual C++ 6 builds not actively supported anymore. The build files are kept available, though.
- Compatible with AdPlug 2.0

Precompiled binary versions of the plugin will be created including the newest MAME OPL2 emulator, which bears a non OSI compliant license and thus can't be distributed through SourceForge. Another website will host binary versions of the plugin. Please see the AdPlug website at http://adplug.sourceforge.net/ for more information.

AdPlug core library 2.0 released

Version 2.0 of the AdPlug core library was released today!

The latest released versions of AdPlay/UNIX and AdPlug/XMMS already support this version. AdPlug/Winamp and AdPlay/DOS will follow shortly.

From the NEWS:
- New format support:
- MSC: AdLib MSCplay
- RIX: Softstar RIX OPL Music Format
- Added OPL3 support:
- RAW: RdosPlay RAW
- Dual OPL2 and OPL3 support (OPL3 only in non-free version).
- This version is not binary-compatible with older versions! All linked applications need to be recompiled.
- License change: Ken Silverman permitted to relicense his emulator under the LGPL. It is included in the free distribution now.
- Changes to IMF player:
- Supporting Adam Nielsen's tag format now.
- Files ending in .IMF now have a default timer refresh rate of 560Hz. All other files have a rate of 700Hz. Please rename your files accordingly or use the AdPlug database.
- CMF player supports rhythm mode now.
- S3M player handles repeating commands correctly now.
- MS Visual C++ and OpenWatcom build systems not actively supported anymore. They are still available in the contrib directory though.

AdPlay/UNIX 1.5 released

AdPlug/XMMS 1.2 released

Version 1.2 of AdPlug/XMMS was released today!

From the NEWS:
- Bugfix: When pressing pause and then stop, XMMS did lock up.
- Song info box is now user resizeable. This also avoids annoying window size changes due to rapid status text size changes.

This version is natively compatible with the upcoming version 2.0 of the AdPlug core library. Expect that to be released soon. ;)
