To save the window layout and have it replicated when Alliance is restarted instead of having to restructure the tabs and layout every time
the program is restarted.

Webseeds e.g. ftpservers

It would be very useful if you could add webseeds to your p2p program.
In my opinion there are two ways to realize this system. Someone adds the server as ftp and it appears as new client in the network, but he is able to control it,
Or, second option: You add a personal ftpserver to your own filesystem, so it appears under the section of your added files.

The second option would mean a greater control, because your computer has to run if people want to access the files.
But the first option would guarantee a steady availibility of files.

In both cases you have to hide the real ip and url of the server if possible.

Group notifications in tab

In the past, I've restarted Alliance to find a veritable storm of "_____ wants to connect to you..." popup messages, with no recourse but to click through them one by one. If Alliance is crashing at that point, it has been a major problem to make it to the main window to do anything at all. I am suggesting that connection notifications (anything that doesn't need immediate action, actually) be relegated to a "Notifications" tab, where they could be dealt with in batch format perhaps. That would let people get to them at their leisure and not force people to wait, especially if the program is not cooperating.

There is no DC-like links yet.
Searching by hashes will help to refer to files in places other than main chat.

Exclude filter for hashed files

A filter option to exclude certain files for examples "Thumbs.db, Desktop.ini, *.!ut (uTorrent temp file)" etc.
I came to think of this when downloading a torrent directly to a shared folder having Alliance going crazy rehashing the .!ut temp file over and over (this is not a bug).

Sort shares alphabetically

When browsing users' shared folder (and my own) they are display by added order. This doesn't look right, or should I say is not very primitive. Have the shares sort by alphabetical order instead.

Nick Name Passing

When changing your nickname Alliance should pass this info to your friends. Possibly make it so after changing your nickname Alliance sends out a "changednick" packet to all listed friends telling their clients to change your nickname.

Also apon starting alliance, it should collect and change anyone's nickname that has changed as well as pass yours out so other friend's clients can add you nickname if it as changed.
