a nice feature will be the selection of the audio track to use for the vob-files. some files have multiple audio tracks (german / englisch for example). at default any2vob uses the englisch stream in my cases. so i hope you can release a commandline switch for axample to specify the audio language to use.

Because nevertheless what input one passes to anydvd, it always really reencodes the video and audio stream.
I don't know if i am right or wrong but i guess there is a more efficent (faster) way to make vobs out of mpg2-files (like ts for example).

I've used any2dvd to create a DVD. It works very fine, but here is something I would like to add:

* The language of the audio tracks is not recognized and by default all get "EN", which of course is not true.

I had a look to the script and I have seen that this is hardwired. I suggest that the language could be recognized from the track (when possible) or the user give a chance to select the language identifier for each audio track.

Thank you very much!

Cheers,

with a line just like the one you use in
file_preformat(). I've tried to work out why my files
were never sent there, and why they always lost their
video track unless i ran them through mencoder first.

finally today i executed the lav2yuv line and
discovered screens full of errors and warnings. I
hadn't compiled mjpegtools with DV support, and the
warnings were being hidden behind the .................

it's probably a lot of work, but i'm requesting an
option to see all the output in the terminal instead of
sending it to null. maybe a --debug flag?

it's a very very good thing you've done, thanks.

I create a lot of DVDs with multiple short clips for
training workshops.

Additionally, any2vob recognizes video files that are
already formatted, but the video files are not properly
piped to the rest of the script.
