&lt;p&gt;Somehow when I am analyzing the code I see ways to optimize and improve the original implementation. That is why with all depackers the original reference implementation is released (ending with _r.s) and an optimized implementation (ending with _o.s). The code has been checked by depacking a compressed version of the Calgary Compression Corpus and a CRC32 check of the result. All development is done on an Atari ST.
