Could you add a .desktop file to make it easy to launch avidemux3_jobs_qt5 from the Linux desktop?

Subtitle handling

Hi,
I wish I could use Avidemux to selectively delete individual subtitle tracks.
Currently, the only workarouind is to remux the entire video without any subtitles, deleting all subtitle tracks, and then add an external subtitle file. Which you need to find first.
So a good intermediate step would be the ability to extract individual subtitle tracks from video files into subtitle files.
Ideally I'd also love to use avidemux to add individual subtitle tracks, preferably without transcoding the video if that is technically possible.

Hello Avidemux is very good video editor
I want following features to be added in future version
I do lot of editing in it.

it should have separate tools option like losslesscut, where users can select all the files to merge, re-arrange them in order, because if lights go out, We have to again select so many big files to be merged 1 by 1, and it takes so much time.
It should have option to save project like davinci so that when lights go out we don't have to again select all files to be merged, it should auto resume at point till lights went out .
It should show filenames of all files opened in timeline, otherwise confusing if merging so many files

4.It should be able to trim at any frame,not always keyframe like davinci for precise cut.

It should have seperate tab within main gui like davinci to make potrait video from landscape videos.
It should be able to silence or mute audio at any place in timeline.
It should show seperate waveform for audio to silence etc.
It should be able to accept different audio codecs when importing seperate audio.
It should be able to mix seperate audio with current audio in video in timeline .

Allow installation without admin right (in %LocalAppData%\Programs for example), like for example Audacity, EmEditor, foobar2000, Python, Textify, Vivaldi, WinmMerge, etc.

Enable parallel job execution (in Windows)

Current (Windows) implementation runs jobs one-by-one. Single (XVid + Vorbis) job utilizes ~75% of a physical core(2 virtual cores) at a time, leaving total usage of 16-core CPU around 10%.

Would be great to utilize CPU power with parallel (independent) jobs to accomplish them faster.

Implement 'fast recompress' enabling exact cutting/trimming w/o full re-encoding

In short words, it's necessary to re-encode whole video to cut at exact frame / time point. Would be great if:
1. Only affected beginning/tail parts are re-compressed (with the same frame/bit/... rate, size, encoder and its options{if possible})
2. OR whole video stream is re-compressed with fastest and closest-quality options: same size, bit/frame rates, no filters at all - as VirtualDubMod offers.

Consider the following scenario: open a video file, then press and hold up key to start skipping through keyframes. If hardware cannot cope keyboard events start accumulating and, when the desired point in the video is reached and up key is released, avidemux will keep processing the event queue and going on, and on, and on until all keyboard events are processed thus overshooting the mark and making it necessary to go back. I'd like avidemux to remove accumulated keyboard events (possibly only of the same type?) after event has been retrieved to avoid event queuing. Avidemux 2.7.6 Qt.

Accelerate and reverse

There is a filter that changing fps changes the duration of the video. Good, but how do I change the speed of the video, keeping the fps constant, of course, only from point A to point B?
Is there a filter that reverses the frames of the video, sending it backwards? Keeping the audio synchronized (or the original)? Again, not necessarily across the entire video.

Could you please add a system of filter profiles or presets?

I use AviDemux to edit OTA TV recordings and most require deinterlacing, cropping, filtering, scaling, etc and it is very tedious to select all these settings for every single file.
