After next a window came up that copy didn't work on. It said an illegal response came back, to be sure I had the current version, and to report a bug if I still got the error with the current version. I ran the check for current version on your software it said the version was current, the error persists.

Running bugbase on Tomcat 4.x

I have troubles to set up bugbase.

The Tomcat Web
Application Manager shows the context but I can not start
it.

Ah ... by searching further I found: cactus is needed,
even for the non development version ... class not found exception
for FilterTestRedirector.

Any hints what I need (which jars
and wich versions) to getit running on Tomcat 4.x?

I
allready fixed the "stone age" old hsqldb :-) by defining emptyx
methods for the non implemented jdbc methods of the newer jdbc
standards.

Any modification notification

Like in sourceforge, it would be cool to have a switch
to enable a group notification i.e. that for any
modification to a bug report, the new modified bug
report is sent to a mailing list with modified
information highlighted.

Edit Bug should not always set doctor

IMHO the edit bug page whould not set the user that
modify the bug as doctor when he is only changing the
description or level.

Only if a user changes the status he should be set as
doctor. Until that moment, doctor should stay null for
all other modifications.

change user data fails

Size of Login Window depends ...

Using Netscape (4 or 6) on the client side:

The login Windows opens very tiny in varying locations on the screen. If the screen is cluttered
with many windows it is sometimes very difficult to find and must be enlarged before you can enter
anything.

Windows Path in hsqldb in file web.xml

The Path to the hsqldb Database in the WEB_INF/web.xml file is by default a windows path.
This Path starts with a capital C letter.
Using it on a LINUX box creates accordingly a directory path RELATIVE to the location from where
tomcat was launched. If you do that manually from different locations, a lot of databases are
created and depending from where you launch tomcat the user "sees" another database.

A hint in the installation guide would be very helpful.

User List not displayed

Using JDK and JRE 1.3
Having Mysql 3.23.37 as underlying database
Using mm.mysql.jdbc-1.2c

The User List is not displayed in the admin applet. Accordingly no changes can be made to user
data.
However new users can be created in the databse and credentials are taken correctly from the
database on login.

change user information
