If &lt;br /&gt;
category has installed packages a dialog with tell you it is refusing to exclude the category.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Confirmation Dialog added to change category status if&lt;br /&gt;
it doesn't have installed packages.  Also informs that no&lt;br /&gt;
changes are final until Commit Button pressed.&lt;/p&gt;

a Qt front-end. Gentoo Category Select is a Gentoo distribution helper&lt;br /&gt;
tool for listing portage package categories in a manageable fashion so&lt;br /&gt;
you can select categories that you do not want installed on your system.&lt;br /&gt;
It assumes you know what you are doing. If there are packages installed&lt;br /&gt;
DON'T exclude the category.  No changes take effect until you press the&lt;br /&gt;
commit button.  If you find out later you want the category you can use&lt;br /&gt;
