I was considering a project similar to this one, but with
the mayan and chinese calendars. It would also be cool
if it showed gear or wheel type graphics that helped
show the relationship between the mayan 260/360 da
years, 20/13 day weeks, etc. also could be similar for
chinese 12 heavenly signs and 5 earthly signs (for
hour/day/month/year).

I've been enjoying various incarnations of CDAY since
the early 90s -- it's good to see someone continuing to
improve it and add creative features.

I'd like to ask for 3 features in the GUI version, if
possible:

1. Please save the window size, either through a menu
option (preferred) or by default when the program's
closed. The menu option would permit one-time window
resizing for a unique session without having to try and
approximate what the previous "ideal size" was. :)

2. Please consider a single-key option to close the
window. ESC would be my preference, but if there's a
reason to select another key I'm open to other ideas.
The single-key close makes it easy to run the program
as a login/startup feature without it getting in the way
of other things.

3. This isn't as useful as the other two, but it has merit
IMO: a command-line switch would be handy for the
window to time out and close after X seconds.
