Actually the fix is already in CVS. The setting is added into config_cfg with this bit of SQL:

INSERT IGNORE INTO config_cfg VALUES (65, 'sTimeZone', 'America/New_York', 'text', 'America/New_York', 'Time zone- see http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.php for valid choices.', 'General', NULL)

You should be able to use phpMyAdmin to add a row in the table config_cfg that sets the time zone. Set the values like this:
cfg_id: something unique and nowhere near the used values, perhaps 222
cfg_name: sTimeZone
cfg_value: a valid time zone name like "America/Chicago"
cfg_type: text
cfg_default: (doesn't matter)
cfg_tooltip: (doesn't matter)
cfg_section: General
cfg_category: NULL

There is code in LoadConfigs.php that will set the time zone based on this value, but it is not loaded into the config table by default.

#44 I want to help you with the spanish translation

We do have a Spanish translation, in CVS but not yet released. We use the GNU gettext mechanism for internationalization.

It would be great to have more video tutorials, especially in Spanish.

If you want to help with programming please familiarize yourself with the code, and the Bug and Feature Request trackers to get an idea of where you might like to start.

mb_substr Failure

I have installed the churchinfo app on a LINUX hosting account on GoDaddy.com run PHP 4.4.9 Most is working fine, however, I get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mb\_substr\(\) in /home/content/n/e/w/newriver2/html/churchinfo/SelectList.php on line 369 Is there someting with this particular version that doesn't recognize the mb\_ function? GoDaddy's support was of no help. They have no knowledge of scripting at all.

Data corruption or bad SQL?

When adding or editing a Family record and trying to save we get the error: Cannot execute query. REPLACE INTO family\_custom SE, fam\_ID = 643 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'SE, fam\_ID = 643' at line 1 We suspect corruption because we have a second install on the same server that does not have this problem. We think "SE," should be "SET," and that the wrong SQL is being generated by the PHP. We cannot use our database until this is fixed. This bug seem to appear when we added a new custom Family Field "Waiver".

files missing

Hello, I'm having trouble getting churchinfo installed. I am using Doteasy, I get all the way to the login screen, and login, but then it redirects me to a page not found. I contacted technical support and they said some files were missing. I have reloaded the files three times using different methods and I'm still having the same problem. Please help.
