Your registration page to get an account for the Forum uses a CAPTCHA version 1 and that Server is no longer in use / supported and you need to update your page.

Start Menu Slow If Shortcut Link Broken

Hello, Have an issue where it seems if there is a shortcut link that is broken within the start menu, the start menu can take up to 30 seconds to actually open. It seems to somewhat lock up the explorer process at the same time as well. Have you seen this behaviour before and is there some sort of fix? Cheers, Dave

right click crash?

When browsing in Windows Explorer and right clicking on the (left side) folder tree, I get a near-immediate crash (of Windows Explorer), on a consistent basis. Only happens on left side tree. I have latest version 4.2.x installed of Classic Shell (aka CS). Not 100% positive that Classic Shell is culprit but never had the rt-clk crash before installing CS.

Your thoughts and help are appreciated in advance.

Right-clicking at Zenworks items works now! :)

Tested with Classic Shell version 4.2.1 and Zenworks Agent version 11.3.1 (and 11.3.2).

The problem is that the ZENworks shell extension implements only the bare minimum of the functionality to be able to work inside Explorer, and doesn't follow all the rules for a well-behaved extension.

The problem has been reported to them: http://forums.novell.com/novell-product-discussions/endpoint-management/zenworks/configuration-management/zcm-11/zcm11-agent-deployment-windows/473693-problem-zenworks-shell-extension-post2299424.html Hopefully they will fix it. If you have a support agreement/contract from Novell for ZENworks, do tell them about this issue and request them to fix it.

We have this same problem too. I can right click on ZenWorks items elsewhere in Explorer with no issues. Or if I exit Classic Shell, I can right click on ZenWorks items within the All Programs menu with no issues. However, when Classic Shell is running, I have the same issue as the original poster of this ticket.

The only work around is to go into the Personalization control panel and change to the Windows Classic theme. I would love to make this work with an Aero theme enabled.

Well good news for you. Now the latest public beta version of Classic Shell which is available from the home page has full Windows Search integration, including document search. Try it if you are interested.
