Convelo Open Source PLM Beta 0.3.0 Released

We are pleased to announce the availability of Convelo Open Source PLM Beta 0.3.0. Convelo is an enterprise open source PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution built on proven open source technologies and industry standards.

In this release we have a lot of exciting new updates including the following:

* Addition of the "ToyCo PLM" sample application for demonstrating Convelo customization features. This sample application is to Convelo like the PetStore sample is to Java. It demonstrates the current features of the Convelo PLM solution, including how to extend the meta model and web client to get a company-specific solution. Using ToyCo, a user can create, update and search Product Classes, Products, Product Concepts, Item Concepts, Parts, Materials, Specifications, Documents, and Measurement Specifications.

* Search functionality was added to the core package and web client. The search feature allows users to search by natural language (ala Google) or advanced search by entering field-specific criteria.

* The Meta Model was updated to include search information for quick, easy customization.
