Hi Ray,
I checked, and it seems there were a few wrong steps.
First, I think you have put on your site chat-applet-da.zip (which is different from chat-applet-cert-da.zip)
Also, you have not provided any IRC server.

How to correct :

Unzip chat-applet-cert-da.zip and upload it on your site

Edit index.html to add a server. For example :

<PARAM name="server" value="irc.freenode.net">
<PARAM name="port" value="6667">
<PARAM name="ssl" value="0">

or, with SSL :

    <PARAM name="server" value="irc.freenode.net">
    <PARAM name="port" value="7000">
    <PARAM name="ssl" value="1">

Before trying again, just clear both the Java cache and your browser cache, because the previous version might still load :)

1) https://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml
2) https://www.java.com/en/download/help/webcache.xml

That should be ok.

But again, the Coolsmile available for download now has no digital certificate, and every guest on your site would have to change their own Java settings, like you did, to run the chat anyway.

Finally, if your really like it, you may install the Coolsmile client as a desktop software. There is a Windows installation available, without any certificates hassle ;)

Any idea how to fix this, I just love the look and the features I use to use this a while back it will be cool to use again

sorry my mistake i pasted tottaly wrong thing lmao heres the link to where i have put the chat applet (i am using an ip at the moment till i get the domain name)
http://109.158.41.28/chat and the print screen attachment i posted was the error i recived onece i had allowed the exeption to my java in control panel

I looked at the link, i had already added my website to the execption list in the java in my control panel, its set as http://mylink.co.uk/chat
chat is the folder where i added all the download files. and i still get
Connection to chat server in progress...
Can''t to continue due to security parameters.
i see the java applet i added the exeption yesterday before i contacted you.

Thank you for your reply, I will give the link you provided a look, if i have any problames i will post them on this ticket if that's okay, i will let you know onece i have had a look and it is fixed:) thanks again! xD and i know, oracal have made alot of changes thats caused so many issues

Hi Ray,
It is not really a bug, but a change from Oracle in "security" restrictions.
See the cause, workaround, etc, here : http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml

ATM we are trying to purchase a certificate, but sadly it's not easy.
Comodo did not validate us for phone directory problem. StartSSL did validate us, but their certificates can't work with Java...
However, if you can buy a digical certificate for yourself, then you will be able to "sign" the JARs with the command jarsigner, available in Java JDK.

Finally, the "cert" version here was self-signed. Which means no Certificate Authority validated it.
It worked well for some years, but not anymore and I'll remove it from downloads.

For some reason after downloading chat-applet-cert-da.zip (english) i loaded the files into my folder and after changing the parms in index file i saved it and tried to load the site up the applet give me this error Security exception Found unsigned entry in resource file coolsmile/chat/EIRC.JAR that all i see no more errors why is this ? if i use the non cert version that loads up but failes to connect to ANY servers with the following error

Connection to chat server in progress...
Can''t to continue due to security parameters.
is there a fix to this one

Problème de fermeture d'un PV. Au clic sur le bouton de droite : la fermeture d'un pv ne fonctionne pas.

Applet dernière version compilée * Et <autres tests> compilée avec jdk1.6.0_25, versions antérieures : 1.3, 1.5

> Windows XP SP2, SP3, Vista, Seven
> tous les clients WEB

Je pense à un joli petit bug :)

* Le bug est visible sur la page de test du site.
* La fermeture de "tous les pv" fonctionne
* Pour les canaux le problème n'existe pas

Je regarderai cette semaine si je trouve la raison du bug ! Mais je ne suis pas programmeur JAVA
