There were signs that delayed 11.0, but I do welcome any translations and will include them. Currently I have French language scheduled to be added from a submission.
The UI graphics will be revamped and modernized, but generally everything will be still in same place so as to not cause any confusion for those who have used to the way things are.

I can't really reproduce your issue. In fact playing as white against Crafty should be the default setting. I will do try to attempt to reproduce any similar issue when I do more heavy testing during development of 11.0, I plan this version to be truly revolutionary (and it's already going that way), though despite revamp of GUI it should still have the old general feel and looks of Crafty GUI 10.0, minus many bugs that 10.0 had, and many new features, as well as several new languages added.

I can confirm that version 11.0 is in the work, and it will be way more revamped than promised, however unfortunately I can't give a date, it's mainly my professional work that gets in the way of this, and has for some years, though occassionally I find time to work on Crafty.

Hi, I LOVE Crafty GUI, it has so many great features for both individual play and engine vs engine. I hope you can get out the 11.0 version, that would be wonderful! Would contributions help?
I have one question: when i try to play "Man vs Machine" using Crafty as the engine, and set Human to white, it won't allow me to make the first move, instead it plays the first move itself. Then if I press "Go" it makes the move for black, and only then can I play the white move.
This only happens the first time I do it. The second time, it allows me to make the first move as white successfully.

I read this message only now. The answer is - yes I do plan an update - Crafty GUI 11.0, it will feature the latest Crafty engine as well as improvements like adding polyglot opening book out of GUI and GUI option for hooking up Winboard engines via wb2uci - so to add polyglot opening book support for winboard engines and fix issues with some engines (polyglot has somewhat better support for engines with incomplete winboard protocol implementation). There should be some other improvements as well. However lately I have been working a lot, so I can't give any date, and I really cannot guarantee I'll be able to deliver v11.0, as I don't know how all my plans will go - I might just not find enough time to work on v11.0, and too many things can change if too much time goes by - so if I will release v11.0, then it should be somewhere in 2016.
