In my situation, I have two monitors of different sizes/resolutions. ARandR let's me recover my screen resolution after starting DftD. However, kind of painful having two screens with the same game.

Changing the value "fullscreen value" in ~/.dangerdeep/config from "true" to "false" has no effect.

0AD is a totally different game, but I noticed that the devs appeared to have solved a similar problem in their code. Something you can reuse?

Project needs an active communication medium

The Sourceforge forum sucks and is not monitored by the developers, nor engaging to the FOSS game community at large.

I humbly suggest you contact http://forum.freegamedev.net/ and get a spot there. There is active moderation and you'll get wider exposure because of it.

I am affiliated with it. I'm Charlie of Free Gamer infamy. (And by infamous I mean only in circles where it is known what a FOSS game is.)

Update Site instructions

Can you please update the instructions on the sire for the debian build to the lastest PPA version? Unless i am not figuring out somthing correctly once the torpedoes are gone thats it. I also think the time delay between torpedo load should be decreased by 25% to make the game more playable/attractive to newcomers.

I enjoyed this sim so much I wrote a short write up on my blog which a\has been visited a few times already.

Windowed mode

I would like to request a windowed mode be added.

The reason is that, for me, it is unplayable in fullscreen mode; because I have two monitors, when it fullscreens, instead of taking only one screen, it takes both, but only half of each, and blacks out the rest.

This is annoying, as the reason for the second screen is that I can keep an eye on things at the same time.

However, because of the way it's split between the two screens, it is also unplayable.

Team multiplayer

I have found multiplayer modes of previous submarine simulators lacking one basic cocncept. The possibility of using multiple computers in a LAN with every player having one task in the submarine, ie hydrophone guy-one player, skipper-one player, and so on. To play together as a team in a home-made submarine simulator room is my dream, and so far there isnt software allow this. Cheers for your work, looking good.

Provide key combination to exit the game

Quite often, when trying the game under Linux, the graphics freezes. The program still runs but I have no way to kill the program because it runs full screen. The only thing I can do is hit Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to terminate the X server. I think a better way to deal with this will be to have a keyboard combination to exit the game. A dialog could be shown to request the user confirmation (with the default on exit, to be selected with the Enter key in case graphics freeze).

dynamic campaign

could there be, unlike other sub sims, a dynamic campaign involved ? one that would change the outcome of the fight if you were to sink specific targets in due time, one where we would not see randomly generated groups of ships but more historically accurate ones, minus the sunk ships ?
