Thread: [Devil-Linux-discuss] Remarks to Devil-Linux 1.8.0-rc1 (nginx)

First a big thank to Heiko for the good work!

I started to use 1.8.0-rc1 and it's looks good (first productional
reverse-proxy is run on 1.8.0-rc1 now).
In devil-linux I missed the startup-script for nginx - so I wrote one
and append it on this mail - perhaps someone can use it (I modify the
pound-script - perhaps not optimal but it works).

Apropos nginx: I had some performance-regressions with nginx and uploads
of big files... so I switched one proxy from nginx to ha-proxy (one
devil-linux box less).
Perhaps it's possible to integrate this nice piece of software in
devil-linux too? http://www.haproxy.com/
I will try to compile ha-proxy for devil-linux in the next time.

One typo (since the beginning of devil-linux?) in ifcfg-eth0.sample line 82:
The point at the end on the default route should be removed - if someone
remove the remark and fit the IP address only the result will not work:
#ROUTE="default via 10.90.1.1".

I added the nginx init script. Thanks for the file.

Adding haproxy is a good idea, I'll put it on the list.

I added haproxy. 
The init script and an example config is missing. Would be awesome if  
you could help provide that.

I will do that! Give me a short time. Right now the devil-linux don't 
compile (some mistake on my side I guess).
