&lt;p&gt;It's easily fixed by moving the:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;switch (mm.Type)&lt;br /&gt;
{&lt;br /&gt;
    case MidiParser.CMidiParseMessage.MidiMessageType.Meta:&lt;br /&gt;
etc...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;drumtrack.exe - Application Error&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000135).&lt;br /&gt;
