Despite its beta status, this version is already deemed a worthy upgrade over the 'current' version 1.3.3.

A draft version of the FDC 1.4 user-manual (which is still incomplete) can be downloaded from the FDC website, see http://www.dutchroll.org/news.html for more details.

This new version 1.0.2 fixes some minor glitches in the previous 1.0.1 release, and introduces three new Simulink blocks: a vector norm, a normalization block, and a cross-product block.

Dutchroll project - FDC 1.4.0 beta available via CVS

An early beta of the upcoming version 1.4.0 of the Flight Dynamics and Control toolbox for Matlab/Simulink has been committed to the Dutchroll CVS tree. It has not yet been tested thoroughly, and its documentation is still under construction, but you can try it if you like. FDC 1.4.0 requires Matlab Release 11 or later.

Dutchroll project - announcing DUBSI 1.0.1

The Dutchroll Blockset for Simulink (DUBSI) provides a small, but robust, general-purpose block-library that may be useful for many Simulink applications. This new version 1.0.1 filters out some of the rough edges in the 1.0 release, and introduces new licensing terms: DUBSI 1.0.1 is distributed under the terms of the Open Software License (OSL) version 1.1, which makes it 'OSI certified software'.

Notice that this is the first news submit for the Dutchroll project that has been posted on SourceForge. It won't be the last: from now on each new release will be announced via this channel in addition to the Dutchroll homepage.

Furthermore, as of today two forums for the Dutchroll project are available, one for the Flight Dynamics and Control Toolbox and another for the DUBSI blockset. The 'quickest' method to contact the author is still by means of the feedback form on the homepage (http://www.dutchroll.org), but the forums provide another way of communication. However, you will need patience for both channels, as support is provided in my limited spare time only. :)
