MVC pattern not respected

Right now the MVC is not respected; the model is mixed with controller. Since the structure of code gets more and more complex, MVC become more and more required.

I don't have a clue what happened here. It seems to be a mapsforge issue. Maybe an upgrade to a new mapsforge version could solve the problem. To check.
