Also the .run binary only uses gcc5 and therefore this binary can't be used for Ardour 8.6 (no gui), or at least I didn't find a way to install EQ10Q (with repository (debian 12), compiling or the binary file) and to make the gui work again.

Is there any plan to update the source files? or provide another binary?

What kind and size of window is EQ10Q using?

The windows is a hanning type with a size of 4096 samples. However, it is implemented using two overlapped windows to provide a faster FFT refresh with smoother transitions. This parameters have been optimized to provide a great balance between FFT plot refresh speed and frequency resolution. But if you suggest a better ones it will be take in consideration.

You can change the FFT size in gui/eq_defines.h file (FTT_N constant) and the windows kind in eq.c file around line 443. As can be seen all is hardcoded so you have to re-compile it to changes take place.
