Firebird 2.5.3 sub-release is available

Firebird Project is happy to announce general availability of Firebird 2.5.3 — the latest minor release in the Firebird 2.5 series.

This sub-release introduces several bug fixes and a few improvements, please refer to the Release Notes for the full list of changes. Binary kits for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms are immediately available for download.

Kits for Linux (i686 and AMD-64), Win32 and MacOSX Intel and PowerPC should start to filter through to SourceForge over the next few hours, ready to download. This sub-release features a significant batch of bug fixes, many backported from v.2.1.x development.

The members of the Firebird Project team are proud to announce the release of Firebird 2.1, a full release containing many sought-after new features including database monitoring, global temporary tables, database triggers and dozens of new internal functions.

This release includes kits for 64-bit Windows and all MacOSX environments and constitutes our largest-ever platform coverage. Enjoy!
