won't backup photos. "Backup Failed" error

I installed Flickr Backup, authorized access and the first time I clicked OK, it claimed I didn't authorize access so I went through the entire download/install process over again to get it to accept that I'd authorized but then when I went to download it didn't load all of my pictures and then when I tried to download the ones I had selected it said "Download Failed" in between the selection I chose and the "download failed" screen several small screens popped up & away so fast that I couldn't see what they were. I have NO IDEA what the problem is but it's annoying. I need to get these pictures from point A-B and I have very few options...

After I have authorized flickr to connect with flickr backup, I pick the pictures/sets I want to backup. However, when I click backup selected, it immediately pops up with message "backup failed"
I do not know why this keeps happening.

No photos shown

Photos "Not in Sets" and "New Photos" don't show up.
The"Help"-file doesn't seem to exist; the same is with "About". Can anybody help?

Windows write file & special character failure

If has characters \/|*" ?: <> the file is not allowed to be written.
I have to go and figure out which file it was near and download it myself.

On another note
The information proviede is not usefull to discovering where the file lives in flickr. EG: set number.

Flickr authorization url incorrect

Unable to start up

I downloaded FlickrBackup 1.0.2 but was unable to start the program.

Java Virtual Machine returned "Could not find main class. Program will exit".

Doesn't work anymore

After latest Flickr API security update, when I try to download pictures, I get a picture in which is written "This photo is currently unavaible".

Unsafe access to AWT event thread

The loader threads access Swing components directly. They should be scheduling tasks on the AWT event thread. This might explain some of the stability issues others have been seeing.

program hangs befor downloading

I have an account with 3770 photos. The program never loads the thubnails past 3200. It never makes it to the photo's not in a set or the new photos. It will load the set thums just fine. I can't seem to get it to actualy download after it hangs.

Fails to backup pictures from non-public sets

Flickr backup succesfully sees all, even private, sets.
But if a non-public set is selected from the sets tab
and the "Backup selected" button is hit, the next page
will tell you that 0 pictures are selected for
download. This can be reproduced with an other
non-public set. Will work for public sets.
