Due to some restrictions with SourceForge hosting, I have found that most open-source CMS systems are unsuitable. With this in mind I have started creating a simple CMS in php for the projects website.

I have suitably called this CMS CSWebsite to match with the project that originally spawned it.

This CMS for the moment will only be read-only (only will pull information from the db) and all updates will be made in the db for the moment.

Hopefully the CMS will be ready in a few weeks at the most and I can get fully back into CSEngine and maybe get some screenshots and an alpha version of the builder up.

The answer is no it wasn't. The project was shut down for a couple of years due to my work demanding too much of my time and some issues I had run into in the design I had.

Work has now eased off and I have spent much time over the years considering ways to get around some of the issues I had, so now a new engine is under development.

Make sure you keep an eye on this project as lots of updates are coming soon. Look out for a new website (no permanent holding page), screenshots of the builder app in action, and even an pre-alpha version of the builder.

The project was originally closed due to lack of time and one of the developers dropping out but I have decided to reopen the project with the purpose of developing a simpler version of the engine. Since I am the only developer on the project at the moment the development will be slow and there is no set date for an alpha release, but development will continue and I plan to eventually provide releases of the engine to the community.

G.A.M.E.
The G.A.M.E. Engine project plans to be an extensive game development program using the mono framework and certain other open source projects like the tao, SDL, and OpenAL libraries.

The top-level plan for the G.A.M.E project is to develop an interface which will let the user add all the components for their game like the graphics, sounds, and many action scripts that will be produced for the G.A.M.E engine (whether by us or the SourceForge community) and then by using the build game component all the sounds and graphics will be embedded into resource files and the scripts and objects will be compiled into library files and the whole game can then be released with the G.A.M.E. engine.

The project will initially be developed by a small group of developers but we welcome all who want to suggest features, improvements, and fixes.

Look forward to seeing some documentation and high level planning appearing on the cvs tree over the next few weeks.
