When the file should have been locked and hidden it still showed in the 'recent files' list in explorer, and I was able to open it and view the contents. There's no feature of 'Forget Password'. Even I forgot my password and got stuck. So I suggest you to try a much better locking software called VenSafe. To start, I have gone to the left side of the GUI (the "keys" icon), entered a password twice, presumably to set an application password (?) Then, I've tried the right side of the GUI (the "padlock" icon), entering my password just created, thus "opening" the padlock.
