Updating an older Shema

Having the possibility to update an older schema which
has been graphically adjusted and saved on .dbv format,
from a script or a database.

Now, I have to import again database, and move all
tables like i want. If I would have to only move new
tables or tables which have grow, it would be great.

Make an eclipse plugin

Make an eclipse plugin starting with dbViz
functionnalities.
It would be cool if this was integrated with an IDE.

Could be connected with Eclipse Database explorer for
importing a schema.

Auto-resizing Tables

Add a command to auto-resize a Table if it contains
more than 5 columns, or if columns labels are long (via
a contextual menu it could be great).

Add an entry in Edit Menu for resizing all Tables.

Optionnally automatical auto-resize after importing a
new schema.

Sort the table list (fix attached)

If you have > 20 tables (e.g., 100+) then it becomes
difficult to find them in the talble list, as it's not
sorted.

Make Help-About window nicer

Improve the appearance of the Help-About window. It
should show the dbViZ logo and be just prettier.

Ctrl-Tab moves between diagrams

Pressing Ctrl-Tab (or some hotkey) should switch
between the open diagrams.

Revamp "Import Schema" interface

The "Import Schema" paradigm should be replaced with
the common "New..." (diagram) idea. Importing a schema
to make a diagram isn't as intuitive as creating a new
diagram and specifying the schema source.

It should also allow users to copy the schema from an
existing diagram (either opened or not) in addition to
importing it from a database or SQL file.

Add columns by Connection

Add capability to select a Connection and show an
editor that will allow users to make the foreign key
columns visible.

Similar to how the table editor lets users add
connected tables.

Customizable hotkeys/menus/toolbar

For the ultimate overkill in interface customization,
allow the user to choose the hotkeys, menu items and
toolbar buttons. It's just a thought...

Use Multiple-Document-Interface (MDI)

The split-pane and tabs appearance isn't very nice. It
might be nicer if each component was a separate window
that could be position and sized by the user. Like
Photoshop!
