Highlighting tracked items

Hi all! I've just started using this javascript menu. I
had no troubles setting the menu and most of its
options, but there's one option that I unable to deal
with: the track color and background.

I would like the same appearance shown by the menu that
supports <http://www.treemenu.com/>. Once I select an
item I would like that its background and/or its text
color would change. However, even do I've tried to
manually configurate this recurring to the
MTMTrackColor variable and included the line
MTMExtraCSS.addRule('a.tracked','color:#000000;background-color:#e0e0e0;')

just before setting the icon list and the menu itself,
it didn't work!!!

Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Open tree to specific node from generic link?

Just found this tree menu and it seems really easy to
use and setup. I'm going to be implementing as a "help
files" set for a web application that I coded. I'd like to
know if it's possible to link to a specific page inside the
help file, which will allow the user to:
a) View that page in the frameset
b) Open any nodes necessary so that the user knows
where they are in the hierarchy.

Is this possible?

Hi,

Is it possible to expand an item (must look like a node)
and populate it with new items. The items comes from
the database, so the node must hold the database key.
So the tree is dynamicly build based on interest of the
user.
What calls must we made?

Cannot open PDF links in IE

pdf documents, linked to from within a menu html or
from within the menu itself only open in Netscape, not
IE.

The pdfs don't reside in the same folder as index.html or
code.html. For instance:

Linking to PDF from within the menu

menu.addItem("PDFNAME","pdf/pdfname.pdf")

pdf opens only in Netscape. IE yields an empty pop-up
with the correct path. The same happens to pdfs linked
to from within a html, which is a menu page.

Btw. everything works flawlesly on my local drive - my
entire site and all relevant documents reside in a folder
on my hardrive. If I simply move the entire folder to a
shared network drive, the problem occurs (however, all
documents are present & no changes are made to code,
naming, etc.)

the link fails when using a port on the http adress.

Dear Sr,

My root html page is on the following address:
http://ams.soluzionasf.com:9000/AMS/index.html

so I am using the 9000 port.

on my code.html I am using the following lines:

var menu = null;
menu = new MTMenu();

menu.addItem("Ayuda", "/AMS/web/help.html",
null, "Ayuda", "menu_link_help.gif");
where AMS is a virtual directory (or context)

, such code works on a web page that use a default
port, not the 9000 (for example:
http://ams.soluzionasf.com/AMS/index.html\)

if I come close the mouse to the corresponding item on
the menu, the link associated is:
http://ams.soluzionasf.com/AMS/web/help.html

so, it doesn't work because the port information on the
root page is missing, it should be:

http://ams.soluzionasf.com:9000/AMS/web/help.html

I am looking on the menu options in order to see where
to set the port information, but I don't find such
information.

"parent.frames[...].location" is null or not an object

in code.htm

What am I doing wrong?

How hard would it be to make the whole thing a form and
have any item that is not a submenu have a checkbox?

Customize folder icons?

Hi: I've been experimenting with creating "open and close"
icons for folders in the Tree Menu, and I know how to
customize the code for the primary menu folders. For
example, I can create a main folder called "Bookstore" and
customize the "menu.makeLastSubmenu" like this:

menu.makeLastSubmenu(Var1,false, 'book-closed.gif','book-
open.gif');

Now when the menu appears, there will be a book-closed
icon that changes to a book-open icon when anyone clicks
on the + symbol. This information was included in the
downloaded source code examples.

So far, so good ... but now I can't figure out how to make
the same thing happen for a "folder in a folder". For
example, if I create a folder in the Bookstore folder
called "My New Book" (with the intention of adding links in
the new folder), I can't find the right place to add the 'book-
closed.gif','book-open.gif' and make the same cool thing
happen for that sub-folder. I know it's possible, because I
found a Tree Menu web site at http://www.tms.ws that has
2nd level open/close customized icons.

I did investigate the MTMIconList variable, but I think that
isn't the right place to make this happen. I'm looking for a
customizable solution - in fact, my "play site" is at
http://www.supportnexus.com if you want to look at my
progress to date.

Any help or advice you have for me would be greatly
appreciated.
