I prefer the way that WinMerge and Meld work for the simple 2-file merge: allow me to copy changes from right-to-left or left-to-right and then save either file at any time. And allow editing too in case neither file is quite right. I tried to do that and it would not let me save the merged file because not all conflicts have been resolved. That is rather draconian, reminds me of the ClearCase merge tool. It might be useful to set a policy like that for merges at check-in time, but not so great for general-purpose use.

    I add my vote for this feature because right now I cannot use the tool for actual merge only for compare (then I do the merge with Winmerge .... ).
