i'm having problems when using squeezelite on Windows 11 with USB Audio 2.0 Devices when outputting to WASAPI exclusive on them. When outputting via WASAPI exclusive on USB Audio 2.0 Devices i geht a massive stuttering. Increasing buffers doen't help, i just changes the frequency of stuttering. When using high buffer sizes i get dropouts. Means i hear perfect sound for a second without stuttering but the get a second of silence. I start squeezelite via batch file to choose one of the available audio devices before. So the variable %SOUNDCARD% is the number of the soundcard that i got with squeezelite-x64 -l.

Im starting squeezelite with the following comandline:
"%~dp0squeezelite-x64.exe" -n %COMPUTERNAME% -o %SOUNDCARD% -a 0:1

There is no problem using WASAPI Exclusive on HDMI (GPU), Onboard Sound or USB Audio 1.0 Devices. The Problem exist for a while and with many different USB Audio 2.0 devices, im using version 2.0.0.1524 of squeezelite. Outputting to WASAPI exclusive on the same device with foorbar2000 works without problems.

Problem to reading Flac radios with the new version of squeezelite-2.0.0.1524-aarch64

Hello Ralph,

Thank you very much for releasing squeezelite-2.0.0.1524-aarch64.tar.gz.

Unfortunately, the problem with playing FLAC format radios like Sing-Sing is present in this new version of the metapackage you created.

http://stream.sing-sing-bis.org:8000/singsingFlac

Would you be so kind as to try to fix this ?

The good news is that Debian 13 will include version 1.5 of Flac this summer, which is supposed to resolve the playback problems we are experiencing... I hope that from then on you will no longer be obliged to create meta-packages to get around this problem :)

It remains to be seen how long it will take for our favorite distributions to be updated to Trixie...

https://packages.debian.org/search?suite=default&section=all&arch=any&lang=fr&searchon=names&keywords=flac

https://xiph.org/flac/2025/02/11/flac-1-5-0-released.html

Thanks again for the very high quality of your work, as well as for always listening to your users, you are a first-rate developer/maintainer :)

All the best to you and yours.

Would you be so kind as to publish a recent version for ARM 64 of Squeezelite:

squeezelite-2.0.0.1517-aarch64.tar.gz

Please?

The latest version you published (squeezelite-2.0.0.1488-aarch64.tar.gz) is problematic because it is too old and it is superseded by the updates published under Diet-Pi. And this recreates the bug of receiving radios in FLAC ;-(

Could you possibly also contact the developers / maintainers of Diet-Pi to tell them how to more easily integrate functional versions of Squeezelite into their OS? This would avoid such problems in the future...

Thank you in advance and happy new year 2025 to you.

Request for a new version of squeezelite-2.0.0.1517 aarch64 (ARM 64) including FLAC patches

Ticket 12 has been modified: Request for a new version of squeezelite-2.0.0.1517 aarch64 (ARM 64) including FLAC patches
Added it to Privacy & Security. Launched the app and all it does is bounce in the Dock. Never stops bouncing, and only choice to quit is to Force Quit. It is visible in LMS, however.

Running macOS 13.7 on an Intel-based MacBook Pro. The same thing happened on the previous Squeezelite version, and was hoping it'd be fixed in this release.

Squeezelite-X Chocolatey Package

Hi!
