This occurred to me when considering Tyrone's incredible model, and your comment about how well he used the Bookmark feature.

We could add a new top menu item "Present", with one item there being "Navigate" (I think we'll dream up other ways to present models in the future). Navigate would have three sub-options: Create Route, Edit Route, Run.

With Create, you'd name a given Navigation ("Design", "Results", etc.); Edit, edit...

In Create, Minsky would display a list of the Bookmarks, which you could sort into a desired order. There would be checkboxes for which ones to display in the navigation; or there could be a box into which you enter numbers, giving the sort order as well as determining which ones are displayed. Edit would let you alter an existing named navigation. There could be an option to run in auto mode, along with a box for a number of seconds to display a given Bookmark when in auto mode (this could be a later feature!).

Run would trigger an additional slider to the existing one for speed of simulation (which would also have forward and backward buttons), where the slider starts at the beginning of a named route and steps through to the end of the route. The name of the route would be displayed as well. So could the bookmark.

This is getting pretty screen real-estate intensive, but I think it's doable as an extension of the controls toolbar (maybe you'd need to shorten the simulation speed slider a bit to fit in two textboxes (name of Route, name of current Bookmark), two buttons (forward/back) and one slider.

In execution, all the Navigate feature would do is move from one Bookmark to another. The user could just check the model elements out, or run the simulation, or even edit the model if desired.

I see its main use as helping a designer explain a complex model to an audience--in this case, imagine Tyrone using this model to explain to politicians the impact of different pandemic control policies.
