48kHz MPC goes worng with xmms-musepack-0.94-1plf

when playing mpc that was encoded from a 48kHz WAV
source, mppdec does fine, but the xmms plugin somehow
loses that information and seems to play 48 as 44kHz
without
resampling. Doesn't sound too well. Behaviour seen on
xmms-musepack-0.94-1plf. Behaviour not tested on
other versions since mppdec works and 48kHz is rare.
Thanks for the plugin.

I had to change the Makefile:

-OPTIONS = -Wall -shared -O3 -march=pentium --fast-math
-DPOSIX -D_REENTRANT -DREENTRANT -I.. -DMPP_ENCODER
+OPTIONS = -Wall -shared -O3 --fast-math -fPIC -DPOSIX
-D_REENTRANT -DREENTRANT -I.. -DMPP_ENCODER

I.e. remove -march=pentium and add -fPIC!

xmms can't play distant mpc files

I use xmms to play songs from a netjuke server. mp3
songs are allright but no mpc song is. I managed to
nail down the problem :

Here is what xmms prints on the stdout when asked to
play a distant file

This was quite annoying until I found the source of the problem:
When there are equalizer settings in place, they are always used
in xmms-musepack even if the equalizer is turned off!
I'm using xmms-1.2.10 on gentoo linux here.
Tried the CVS version but it's no different from the release.
Let me find some time and I'll submit a patch.

Xmms don't read mpc

I use Xmms 2.08 and musepack 1.00 on suse 9.1 and when
I put some mpc to read XMMS wrote me :
"Superframe-size!=1: not suported anymore. Please
decode with comand line tool".With musepack 0.98 it
crash XMMS instead but the files can be readed under
windows XP and Winamp.

xmms 1.2.10 crashes at the end of a mpc file.
Reproducible every time. Using xmms-musepack 1.00.

Gentoo, 2.6.7, alsa 1.05.

xmms locks up after song has finished

Well, there is not much more to say: xmms locks up
after song has finished. Forwarding to the next song
works, but when a song finisches, and the next one
should be plays, xmms locks up :(.

I use xmms 1.2.8 and musepack 0.94 on a gentoo system

I tried downloading the pre-compiled library off the
main site from Andree Buschman, but when I go to add a
file/directory it hangs for a while, but eventually
adds them to the playlist... I then try to play but it
locks up, not playing anything and not letting me do
anything further to xmms, so I downloaded the source
and compiled it with no errors, however it does the
same thing, I'm running Debian SID, kernel 2.4.21 with
all the latest updates. My e-mails joel@dh-network.com

Segfault

I installed the plugin correctly, but each time I
insert a mp+ file into the playlist, xmms terminates
with a segmentation fault.

My system is a Progeny Debian with libc 2.2.1
