Name-based http services

As you can only enter an IP for the host to be
monitored, sites relying on name-based hosting may
fail. It would be nice to have a way to check these
http URLs in addition to IP-based URLs. This would
require that the "agent" performing the http request
send the URL along in a Host: header, which I believe
is supported by PHP.

Fail to remove node from alert_log

When nodes get deleted while down, node is removed from
objects table, but not from alert_log table.

Starting running today with debug and found the
following error:

have register_globals turned off.

It appears that on the add / edit node page, I am unable
to delete a node. There are no errors or messages,
nothing happens.
