Sorry for my English

Now its posible to find other sources for files at
download queue, but its not posible to put this files
automaticaly in these queues. I think that can be very
useful to be able to download the same file from more
than one source.

Ok, first off u may like my ideas or not feel free to
ridicule them at your leisure so here it goes.
1. The ability to download the same file from more then
one person (The open source linux direct connect client
dctc has a form of this feature)
2. Have a log of people u kick/redirect, with their ip, the
time/date, reason why and where they were redirected
too
3. The ability to downoad

1. A Favorite users list.

2. Mass hub connect on startup and/or just plain ol
able to select all the hubs and connect at once even
if its not at startup.

3.Userlist in same area as hub.

These are just a few suggestions that I found would be
quite enjoyable if they were in Open DC.

Sometimes when you search for a file you find multiple
people with the same file, and the same file named in
serval different ways.

In neo-modus client, there is the possibility that when
you leave the computer (or just aren't looking at the
client), you can end up trying to download a file that
you've already downloaded from someone else.

By make groups of files you can specify that once one
of the files in that group is downloaded, the rest of
the files no longer need to be downloaded and can be
removed from your queue.

Using this, there can be less wasted bandwidth for all
parties concerned.

You need to view your shared folder

A nice feature would be to have some display or something that shows
how much files you are sharing, both size and how many files. Guess
it isn't really that important to know how many files but the size
still matters. ;)

Some files may be shared in the various protocols with
the same name but different contents.

The average user will not want to keep track of what
version of the file that they are downloading, and
resuming a file with the same name but different
contents can only lead to problems.

For each downloading file, some metadata should be
stored about that download, such as file name and the
current sources for the partial download.

I would suggest that this metadata be kept either in
name-value pairs, e.g.

FILESIZE=3408976
DOWNLOADSOURCE=Mr Bubbles
DOWNLOADSOURCE=Ms Chainsaw

or, in an xml format, e.g.

<download>
<size>3408976</size>
<downloadsource>Mr Bubbles</downloadsource>
<downloadsource>Ms Chainsaw</downloadsource>
</download>

Associating these with the download files could be done
in a number of ways - make the metadata files have
similar name, e.g.

filename is Scryed -05.avi
metadata file is Scryed -05.avi.met

Or even just have one metadata file somewhere with
filenames included.

the OPChannel script is one of the best scripts I have
ever seen but how easily can you make it for ALL
registered Users...not just OPs. Also, is there a way
for me to sign onto the project, i consider myself
above average on script making.?

Rollup windows

It'd be helpful to be able to roll up windows because
when you have more than a few hubs open and want to
keep the user lists out of the way, but be able to
access them quickly.
