Hi Dear, I have to use ONVIF Device Manager or ONVIF Device Test Tools to reset an Camera ONVIF. I forget its passxord for Login. When I launch the installation I get an window notification ( Screenshot in attached) . Could you help me ? My PC is with Intel Core 2 duo and windows 7 pro 32 bits.

I have a similar model and it seems that their RTSP requires some special implementation. You can get the feed working in VLC if you turn on the "Tunnel RTP and RTSP over HTTP" option. The RTSP path is the following: rtsp://admin:SAFETYCODE@192.168.1.XXX:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

I have the "D" variant of the Imou Cue 2 with the model number IPC-C22E-D. It is detected fine in ODM and the snapshot is displayed correctly. However, the RTSP URL seems to be incorrect as the stream is not detected. I have found only the IP Centcom app on the Microsoft Store being able to correctly stream content using Onvif, so it seems to be a matter of the wrong URL being used in ODM. Is it possible to update ODM to handle the same? I can help out in identifying the correct URL if the procedure...

While it is true that NVRs primarily implement ONVIF Client specs. It is also true that they have started implementing ONVIF Device specs to enable the same usecase that Praveen mentions above. An example is Milestone ONVIF Bridge explained here This extra feature allows other ONVIF clients to fetch RTSP streams, search and recover recordings. So Praveen, The answer depends on which NVR you are connecting to.

ONVIF is a protocol for cameras to communicate with an NVR. You would not "use onvif" to connect to an NVR. the NVR, is itself a video server, to which you would connect either with an app or by a web interface. You may have to use port forwarding and/or DDNS on your router/NVR to access the web interface from a remote network. configurations vary by NVR type.

Is it possible to connect to a remote NVR using ONVIF. The NVR is connected to multiple cameras. How would a RTSP URI look like for those cameras while connecting from a external network.

The following fork is an attempt to rejuvinate the ODM codebase. https://github.com/Apra-Labs/ONVIF-Device-Manager -This fork builds with VS2019 and VS2022 -Uses FSharp.Core.3.0.2 -Uses dotNet4.5 -Supports TLS1.2 -Has automated github workflow to build the code via VS2019 -Build publishes zip and msi version of ODM -Now additonally has Spanish support. Author has appreciated the ODM tool for years and this is an attempt to keep it alive. Happy to take requests to improve it further.
