Recent changes to hpi-snmp

Traps do not work

We are running hpi 2.12.0 and hpiSubagent 2.3.4.

We are using the ipmidirect plugin, RMCP over TCP/IP (UDP, in fact).

We can walk the MIB just fine, however, we do not get any traps for things such as hot swap events and sensor events.

Getting Stale info from SNMP GET/WALK

Hi,

We are using openhpi-subagent-2.3.3 , openhpi-2.5.2
and IPMI Simulator.
Once we start all of them and from MIB Browser if we
do a walk on saHpiHotSwapTable , we get the currrent
info of hotswap states( say ACTIVE state ) . Now using
IPMI simulator if we change the state of the HOT swap
to INACTIVE and if we do
a walk from the MIB browser we donot get the latest
info, basically we are getting the stale info
(ACTIVE).
Why is this happening and how do we overcome this ?

openhpi daemon get killed in 2.6.0 version

Hi,
I am having problem with running openhpi-2.6.0 daemon.
I start the daemon manually by issuing the command
openhpid -c /usr/local/etc/openhpi/openhpi.conf.
Following is my openhpi.conf segment

and daemon dies in fraction of second and i getting
error while running my application like this
CreateConnx: Could not open client socket
saHpiSessionOpen: Could not create client connection
saHpiSessionOpen returns NO_RESPONSE

I am running it on AMD 64bit processor. But same
problem i am facing while running the daemon in 32
bit machine.

problem with snmp subagent

Hi,

I have three queries regarding the openHPI-subagent
operation

1.My snmp agent is unable to find the object
identifer for hpiD
2.HPI.mib refers to another MIB file SAF-TC-MIB which
is not available handy with openhpi-snmp package
3.MY snmp sub agent gets killed after some time it is
been started successfully.

It would be great if somebody can give some pointers
on these issues.

Remove OpenHPI dependencies from HPI SNMP agent

Currently the HPI SNMP agent had numerous
dependencies on OpenHPI specific types and functions.
The agent should be able support any compliant SAF
HPI implementation, not just OpenHPI.

Update the MIB per the openhpi-saf-mib-wg comments.
