It's a very strange problem. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;i.e., &lt;br/&gt;
mingw32-make.exe makes references to binaries like 'rm.exe'; those files can be found in 'C:\Mingw32\MSYS\1.0\'  the 'mingw32-make.exe' can be found in 'C:\Mingw32\bin\'.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Normally you would add those two directories to your Binary Directories list.&lt;br/&gt;
If 'c:\Mingw32\bin\' is first in the order the IDE ignores the rest of the directories, specifically when doing a rebuild.  This will cause make errors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I encourage you to experiment with rearranging the order of these directories.  Separate the test cases for Rebuild versus Compile. &lt;p&gt;I've just installed Dev-C++ 5.11 on Windows 7 64 bits.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I can compile and execute the program just fine. I can add a watchpoint and go step by step, BUT if I add a Watch to see a variable, the debug freezes. I hit F7 and it won't advance any step further.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I'm using default compiler (TDM-GCC 4.9.2 64bit) and added -g on Compiler options.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</summary></entry></feed>
