This is to announce the transfer of PasswordSafe's official git source code repository from SourceForge to GitHub.

You're all welcome to fork the repository and send pull requests for any fixes or features. Contact me directly if you'd like commit rights to the main repository.

I haven't yet decided how to phase out the SourceForge repository. For now I've revoked all update rights to avoid accidental commits.

Users can keep their passwords securely encrypted on their computers. A single Safe Combination unlocks them all.

Release 3.16.2Y is the same as 3.16, with a coiuple of minor bugfixes, and with support for the YubiKey authentication token (http://yubico.com/products/yubikey/).

YubiKey is a USB authentication device that sends a different authentication key each time it's activated. This provides a convenient alternative to constantly typing in a passphrase for heavy users of PasswordSafe. To use, just "associate" your YubiKey with your PasswordSafe database, using the new Manage->YubiKey dialog. For more details, please refer to the online help.
Currently, support for this device is implemented in a separate PasswordSafe package, 3.16.2Y. Your feedback will determine if and how this will be merged into the main product.
