Hi, attached is the DVI file created that has the
text labels stacked on the bottom left.

"M 24" "M 40" "M45" labels rejected

When trying to use w/ 'add' 'add_labels' etc. All other
messier and the herschel 400 NGC's go through fine:

pp3: Warning: Invalid M index: 40.

Wrong label

I noticed in charts that M69 i displayed twice. If I
add command "delete M 69 ;" only one label is removed,
even if I add the command twice. So there's no chance
to remove M 69 from charts.

Output file crippeld under Windows

I use pp3-1.3.2 (compiled from source with gcc 3.2.2,
on RH9).

After compiling and installing pp3.

$ pp3 leo.pp3

work as expected but.

$ pp3 andromeda.pp3

Invalid labeldimens.dat file

Because label strings can contain newlines, the
labeldimesn.dat file can be corrupted.

The only way to avoid that at the moment it to avoid
line breaks within labels.

To fix this in sources, either the file format of
labeldimens.dat must be changed, or all line breaks
must be converted to spaces.

File inclusion failure ignored

When a file is included into a PP3 script via

filename include test.pp3

and test.pp3 is not found, PP3 doesn't report a warning
or an error, but simply ignores this declaration.

Wrong error messages for lines.dat

If you insert an unknown star into a constellation
line, it may be that the corresponding error message
refers to a star *before* the wrong one in the
constellation line.

pp3 uses excessive memory on example files.

Every time I try to run pp3 (1.7.1) on one of the
example files, it just stops:
% pp3 examples/sgr.pp3
Abort
%

When I run it through gprof I see that it's allocating
>3GB memory:

% gprof pp3 -- examples/sgr.pp3

gprof: out of memory allocating 3939689640 bytes after
a total of 1425408 bytes
%

I'm compiling it with gcc:
gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1,
propolice)

Any ideas?
