I recently purchased academic license for PyRx 1.0 for Linux and managed to install it on a PC running Ubuntu 24.04.

However, when running the program as root and checking for updates, I received the following message:

Could you help me

That helped. It gave me enough info to determine that I needed to install Gtk2. When you run from the command line it should tell what libraries are missing.

PyRx 0.9.3 on Fedora 43 not starting up

Apologies for the delay. The forum didn't send me an email like it used to do to let me know when there is a reply.

I tried that today. When I ran that command, it said that there was nothing to install, likely because it was already installed from when I installed it previously. I re-ran the install commands for all three of those packages to make sure they were installed, and all of them were already installed. I even tried uninstalling PyRx and reinstalling it after running the three install commands again. PyRx is still not starting up when I click on the app icon or when I try to start it from the command line. I even tried installing PyRx without sudo to see if there might be permissions issues with the PyRx-specific files when I install it using sudo, but that did not work either.

PyRx 0.9.3 on Fedora 43 not starting up

I was able to start PyRx after yum install sdl12-compat.x86_64
Recently, I had to do a clean installation of Fedora 43. When I reinstalled PyRx, it would not start up. I followed the instructions on the download website to install libpng12.x86_64, SDL.x86_64, and mesa-libGLU.x86_64. (These instructions are still the same on the PyRx downloads website as when I first downloaded v0.9.3.) Mesa-libGLU was already on the system, libpng12 was installed, and SDL was not found in the repository, since Fedora is now running SDL3. I installed sdl2-compat and sdl12-compat to try to cover for the lack of sdl, but nothing is still happening when I try to run PyRx. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update of version 1.1 to 1.2?

Please send me your order number.

Update of version 1.1 to 1.2?

Please, I have version 1.1, and I would also like to upgrade to 1.2
