I am just starting with QUCS studio and in the Tutorial part1 with the simple RC LPF, I cannot get the EDIT COMPONENT page for Eqn 1 that looks like that in the tutorial. It seems that the setup box has changed to a newer version. I am trying to display the output as dB(OUT.v) but the graph is exactly the same as the first example withlog x and linear y. It seems to ignore the value dB(OUT.v) statement, and does not display as dB values. Can anyone tell me how to do this simple thing please?

Assistance with simulation of LNA design

Hello,

I am trying to design an LNA. I am stuck trying to simulate the device. I am brand new to QUCS. I was hoping you guys could be of assistance. I reviewed a QUCS tutorial, and got this far. This is my first attempt at simulating in about 4 yrs, so forgive me if I miss something.

When trying to simulate the circuit, I have this error/warning.

Errors and Warnings:
line 4: no trailing end-of-line found, continuing...

Is this keeping the simulation from populating? I am trying to view the Gain and NF of the device. My s2p file has only a single entry at the specified frequency. Is that a possible issue?

I heard you have created some new features around 2018 that were in the code. One in particular is the inverse matrix s-parameter model (de-embedding).
The last binary release was 4 years ago, and some features have been implemented but not released since.

#21 Error in Transient simulation

Your .sch file would likely be helpful to the devs and other helpers.

#13 Qucs-s + ngsprice: Missing ground complaint from ngspice

in AC / Noise simulation, is there a way to save / plot the noise contribution of a given resistor or component in the circuit, to the total output noise of the circuit? Alternatively, is there a way to make a resistor noiseless? Generally speaking where can I find advanced information like this one. For instance, at another moment I was also looking for reference Qucs reference on syntax in .lib libraries.
Thank you

I recently made a clean installation of ubuntu 20.4 and installed Qucs using snap (it's the only way to have it on 20.4 without making a deal with the devil, for now).

The verilog-A section with photodiode component has vanished (among other things present in the previous installation) .
The online guide still lists the photodiode as present component.
Is some library missing installing from snap?
