MESHdesk came a long way since this original post. I think you'll find the following info handy:

It might be less complex to simply flash and replace with th MESHdesk firmware since it runs the latest Barrier Breaker release.

hi i have already have a mesh network composing of 5 picostations as clients and 2 nanostations m2 one as a gateway and other as a client. upon looking for a captive portal to manageme bandwidth. meshdesk can help a lot. my question is it possible to implement to the already mesh network. i have configured the the stations on secn

After many months of coding and collaboration with the community we are very exited about this release of RADIUSdesk which includes a feature complete MESHdesk!

Now you can deploy mesh networks real quick and easy with the help of MESHdesk
Current hardware that has been tested with the MESHdesk firmware includes:
- Dragino2 (MS14 or MP2)
- OpenMesh.com OM2P
- Ubiquity Picostation M2
- Ubiquity UniFi AP
- Ubiquity UniFi AP-LR

Overview

The time since the release of the previous VM (the first on Ubuntu 14.01) has been very busy in terms of new developments and bug fixes on RADIUSdesk.

Thanks to a vibrant community the project is maturing at a fast pace and becoming more solid in terms of scalability and usability.

There was also a few reports of people using RADIUSdesk as a foundation platform while developing enhancements along with type specific implementations to serve their businesses.
This is very encouraging and a few of the goals of RADIUSdesk is definitely achieved when this happens.

What's new in RADIUSdesk-2014-1-1?

Improved Dynamic Login Pages
- Supports a slideshow option along with adjustable time per slide.
- Specify to redirect or not after log-in.
- Add an optional URL to the uploaded photos.
- Support for a "Click-to-connect" option which allows many possibilities.
- Inclusion of the legacy JQuery Mobile login pages as an alternative to support older phones.
Top-up applet for easy Pay-as-you-go implementations
- Easy hook-up with 3rd Party Systems through a well defined API
- http://www.radiusdesk.com/user_guide/topup
Vouchers
- Extra two columns (Click on any table header -> Columns -> Extra field name + Extra value)
- Handy to use with 3rd Party system to include things like a person's booking NR or PayPal transaction ID.
- Rewrite of code to allow better handling of large numbers of vouchers in terms of performance.
- Convenient button to send voucher details through email.
Basic PayPal and PayU integration
- The foundation is there though the plumbing is still manual.
Many bug-fixes
- Voucher status should now update once again.
- Time on-line reports exclude the time-zone error.

What's next

Finish MESHdesk
- Put one month aside to try and get MESHdesk as feature complete as possible.
