it seems like the game might remember some random keystrokes from a previous game when reloading the map after death. that's why the camera is pointing in a different direction when loading. I can't think of any other explanation for this.

#1 Big technical problem starting with Ice World

In some themes the ice blocks don't use a texture directly, but rather it is generated dynamically by a shader. The Egypt and Artic themes are like this, for example. There are other themes that do use a normal texture. Check if the problem occurs in all themes or if it is only in some.

On another note, I have checked the memory leak you mentioned and indeed memory is constantly being lost while playing the levels. It seems to be a problem with some UI particle effects. I have been able to fix it and for the new version 0.3 that will be released in a few weeks it will be corrected.

Big technical problem starting with Ice World

Starting with Level 61 (Ice World), I cannot see any ice cubes. They're just invisible.
I can play blind, but up from here, the game very quickly dies, quietly, with windows error "application does not function anymore".
I also can't see ice cubes when I place them in the level editor. Unless I set it to "kula mode", then I can see a placed ice cube.
