I am not sure if this is the correct place to submit this.

1. Even though version says 1.8, when I click on
download it still provides ser2net-1.6 package. Does
the download link need to be updated.

2. Has anyone tried this on Red Hat Linux 9.0. I tried
version ser2net version 1.6 and it refuses to start.
When I execute /etc/init.d/ser2net start I get the
following

Starting ser2net: Invalid control port specified with -p
/usr/local/sbin/ser2net: Valid parameters are:
-c <config file> - use a config file besides
/etc/ser2net.conf
-p <controller port> - Start a controller session on
the given TCP port
-n - Don't detach from the controlling terminal
-d - Don't detach and send debug I/O to standard output
-u - Disable UUCP locking
-v - print the program's version and exit

[FAILED]

Not sure why port 9999 is not valid. I changed the
/etc/init.d/ser2net file to use 9000 and got the same
error.
