New features:
* Added SmsPortAddressedTextMessage, that is a port addressed SmsTextMessage. Not sure if it is usable, but there was a short discussion about it in the forum.
* Added SmsMmsNotificationMessage that allows you to send a MMS notification to any phone.
* Added WapSIPush and WapSLPush.
* Added transport for pswincom.
* Added SmsMsgWaitingMessage. This allows you to send a "message waiting" message to the phone. This message can be used on a Sony-Ericsson T610 to display different types of icons in the notification bar.

Updated:
* Updated SmsSender with more message types.
* Updated the GsmTransport. I hope it is more stable now.
* Probably more minor things...

If you want to help out, have a look at http://smsj.sourceforge.net/todo.html for open items.

Note! This release has changed the logging API from commons-logging to slf4j. You can read more about slf4j at http://www.slf4j.org/.

However, when looking at the code I found several design faults and bugs so I'm currently in the process of restructuring/redesigning the sourcecode.

- Minimize coupling between sms, mms and wap code. Moved some classes to another package.
- Redesigned SmsConcatMessage
- Redesigned wap push
- Added junit tests to some of the classes.
- Using maven to build.
- Using eclipse as IDE

So the quality of the code in CVS might not be what it used to be.

You can fetch the old code by using the "snapshot_2004_11_02" tag.
