There is no suitable basic_path::opertor/ for std::string (only for basic_path and char*), but it would be pretty useful. Can u add this somehow? Thanks.

There's windows_directory and system_directory, temp_directory should do about the same, except using GetTempPath. It would also be nice to have temp_filename using GetTempFileName

Add .empty() method to environment_variable

[Sorry if this is a double post, apparently sourceforge logged me out before I posted]

Currently we can use .length() == 0, but adding .empty() helps improve intreface compatibility with other string types
