Fax reception does work
with this patch

opal sip/h323 build-time detection

Opal can be built with or without h323/sip and whatever is the case can be easily determined based on its *.mak files which t38modem uses anyway. Attached patch adds build-time detection of those flags to t38modem and makes it build accordingly. (t38modem's code is clean enough that it was just a couple of ifdefs in one file + editing the Makefile).

The patch is against 1.2.0 and I haven't tested against HEAD, but I'm hoping it won't be much of a hassle to commit it and that it'll get done.

sip: GetPartyName parser has a bug

when the "To:" Header contains a displayname like:

"$NUMBER$@$SERVER$" <sip:$NUMBER$@$SERVER> ...

The GetPartyName Parser doesn't work proper, because it uses the ":" as startpoint and the first "@" as endpoint, which obviously doesn't work.

The applied patch fixes the problem
