Hello,
the program is not properly signed and does not start on Java version > 5. Disabling signing would ony work if you have admin access to Internet explorer security settings.
Can you provide a proper signing?

Week rollover issue if sheet open in Excel

If the timesheet is open in Excel at the time of week rollover (Saturday night to Sunday morning in my case), entries for the end of the week are often lost. (Say Friday afternoon in my case, if I had opened the sheet in Excel on Friday.)
Suspect the secondary/temp file handling does not handle the special case when a user has opened the timesheet, and leaves it open at the rollover point.

This bug report is more intended as a note to myself to fix this some time in the future should I use Tiny Time Tracker, a most excellent program, again.

Minor mistakes in the German translation

There are some minor mistakes in the German translation (messages_de.properties).
The attached patch should fix them.

i18n bug

Tiny Time Tracker seemingly writes weekday names using current OS locale settings.
It seems to me like it's also using unicode (as most Java programs do) for this.
My OS locale is ru_RU (russian).
My MS Excel doesn't understand unicode in timecards, so it gives a warning every time I open a timecard, and the weekday names appear completely garbled.
I think it would be fine to make them simply English, for example.

Not loading the application

Mac OSX - Tiger.
JAVA JRE - build 1.5.0_3-b05-241

1. Double click on tinytimetracker-1.1.jnlp
2. Click trust to accept certificate.
3. I get Tiny time tracker written in top menu
Click on it and it says about, which loads about popup that is empty.
4. Also get java icon in the docker. click on it and nothing else.

I am expecting to see the drop down box where I can add and remove tasks, that I see on my ubuntu system, but I do not see it.

Any ideas?

problem when computer going to hibernate

I use your application on my laptop. when a close the lid (computer hibernates) over the night there is a problem when I start it up in the morning.

it seems like the time tracker uses the computer internal time and report it in the reportcard.

summary:
install the application
let the software run and put the computer in hibernate over night.
if you start the computer att 9:45 the morning after, time tracker adds 9:45 to your reportcard instantly.

i you check your time card at 10:15 it says that you've worked for 10 hours and 45 minutes

Combo list empty (Exceptions)

I have had several cases of the Tiny Time Tracker combo
box list being empty.

Restarting Tiny Time Tracker does not help.

I have attached the Exceptions listing from "stderr.txt".

The exceptions include the following keywords:
* java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI scheme is not
"file"
tracker.Tracker.checkForUpdates(Tracker.java:1663)
* Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0"
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Value too long:
