touchbase 0.1.2 is now available.

Notable features of this release are improved persistence of profile/application state (i.e. remembers where you left it), general framework improvements and general templating for future features.

Note that it is possible that repositories generated by prior versions of touchbase may not be compatible with this release. In such cases please create a new repository for use with this release.

touchbase - CVS repository merge

When I first started developing touchbase I was using a local CVS repository prior to release on SourceForge.net. Since making use of the public CVS repository provided by SourceForge I have been trying to maintain the local CVS and the SourceForge CVS through the use of patches (cvsdiff).

I've now decided to finally merge the two repositories together and just rely on the SourceForge repository. What this means is that the SourceForge CVS will now be even more up to date, and you may have better access to the codebase in between releases.

For those making use of the CVS access to touchbase you may notice a lot of commits that don't actually contain changes. This was necessary to ensure that the SourceForge CVS has exactly the same contents as contained on my local CVS.

I would recommend just replacing your touchbase projects with whatever is in the HEAD to ensure you have the most up to date code.

Let me know if you experience any problems.

touchbase - Superbowl release (0.1.1)

touchbase version 0.1.1 is now available.

This release focuses on implementing search functionality in both the links and news modules, in addition to proper feed aggregation and persistence for the news module.

Note that this release is not compatible with prior releases, so if you have installed a previous version please read the release notes (README) regarding what you should do before installing this release.

touchbase - Initial release (0.1)

The initial release of touchbase is now available.

The purpose of this release is to provide an introduction to the touchbase framework and concepts and as such is not entirely stable or all that useful. This release does however include basic support for both links and news (rss feeds), and should be sufficient to demonstrate the ideas behind touchbase.

touchbase - Public CVS now available

Well I've finally uploaded a bit of code into CVS - I can't say its useable at this stage, but I thought it was a bit dangerous to have only one copy on my dying laptop..

You'll find eight (8) projects initially: four for the framework itself and two for each of the initial modules. I'll be updating the documentation soon to explain a bit more about these projects.

I'm still expecting a lot of refactoring and additions before the initial release.
