It would simplify the analysis of the pc , if we created an iso that could be put onto a bootable usb/sd to run the application in a know device configuration...

Any thoughts on this?

It becomes difficult for hard drive information when the user has BTRFS or XFS, and or is using Soft raid, i.e device named md..., as these are just links to /dev/md/mountpoint...

How do you want to handle these?

lshw on some systems can only be run by super user, open suse 15.3

Is the latest Linux version (2.0.2 released last Saturday, 2021-11-27) already detecting all your hardware 100% ok, Brian? Is it now recommending you something better (for you) than Debian GNU/Linux?

I completely agree with you, Ferran/Fernando/Gorbakk ;-)

My two cents are :

Let's assign each task to each member that:
A) Has the best knowledge (of us) to do that task
B) Wants to do that task

And for me, that means:

Brian should be our Gambas & Linux leader
Gorbakk should be our SysAdmin - WebAdmin
Me (Johnny B. - Joan Baptista) the Window$ / Visual Basic version (at least a few more weeks, please)
Jordi "Aaron" window$ beta tester and ... if we are lucky ... manual project leader, in 2022
( ... MAYBE ... another friend of mine will also help in the manual project in a few days, but only in translation related to Catalan and/or Spanish to English and/or German ... I said MAYBE)

Thanks god that Brian will help me with Git in a few hours, because I know what Git is, I agree that Git will help the project and all of us (the developers) but I never used Git.

For the merge request feature, I've been playing with the Gitlab UI and it allows you to create merge requests from branches on the same project.

For now, while the tria-s-o project is small i would prefer not doing forks, but still have the merge request option.
