Compilation of tarball tsclient-2.0.1.tar.bz2

Hi,

I\'m wondering how could you compile the latest source, because I had to correct the configure script before.
1) libnm_glib was renamed in 2009 to libnm-glib (done replacement)
2) gnome.h ws moved into package libgnoeui-2.0 so you must add it both to pkg_cv_TSC_CFLAGS (see rows 20979-20984) and pkg_cv_TSC_LIBS (see rows 20995-21000). I can\'t imagine why on earth you don\'t use the variable PKG_CHECK_MODULES defined in configure.ac for that purpose, rather the modules are duplicated in the script... (I didn\'t change.)

For your convenience I attach the functioning script.

icm of ubuntu 11.04 windows can't me moved

A few point after updateing ubuntu 10.x to 11.04

My display has a resolution of 1280x800 and i would like to use the same resolution.
I can't select the above resolution but i can select 1024 x 768.
When i use 1024x768 the window the upper bar of the program is gone. So i use mostly 2 monitors and i can't switch the running program to the other monitor anymore. This works well in ubuntu 10.x.
The stange thing is when i start the program on my second monitor i see the same. The monitor does have a resolution of 1920 x 1280.

So the frame at the above side is gone.
Whe i use resolution 800x600 it's going well. But this resolution is not good enough for me.

I hope there is soon a solution.

annoying behavior on closed window

When closing the window that shows the remote desktop, tsclient considers this as a connection lost. It shows a dialog in the background, with a 30 seconds timer. After 30 seconds it resumes the connection.

So everytime I close the remote desktop window, I have to remember looking for the countdown dialog somewhere in the backgrounded windows, click 'Cancel', and then I get the normal tsclient dialog, I have to click 'Close' and finally I'm done. This is quite annoying, especially when I forget to cancel the countdown and I get this fullscreen window popping up on me after I started doing some other work...

I would suggest that tsclient just exit silently when the user closes the window.

Caps Lock does not work

When you enabled the Caps Lock, tsclient does not capitalize the letters as expected. I'm using Linux Mint 9 accessing a Windows 2003 Server

If I specify russian login, it does not work. Screensho attached. I just type "Администратор" in login field.

rdesktop -d SSN1 -u Администратор 10.80.54.33 works OK.

tsclient should not require user/pass/domain input w/ rdp

in tsclient 2.0.1, when creating RDP connections, i'm forced to enter login credentials (which are then stored plain text on the disc!!! how secure...). This causes problems, since for example, the VirtualBox VRDP servers don't even require authentication, so i cannot connect to those. also i have plenty of servers which i want to connect to, but always using different users (as i'm administering many of them), which too is not possible, as entering credentials bypasses the remote login screen. i could enter an invalid user, but that will force me to do another few extra clicks, because the remote will tell me that credentials are invalid. also this doesn't solve the problem with the authentication-less VRDP servers (virtualbox, kvm, ...).

failed to execute child process "wfica" with ICA protol

After installing the Citrix Receiver for Linux web connections became possible. tsclient is showing the former greyed out ICA active.
If I try to connect with tsclient there is an error: failed to execute child process "wfica" when using ICA protocol

Well my first guess was that tsclient is trying to find the wfica in the path. But that's not all. Even if wfica.sh can be found, still errors with "missing arg".
If linked to wfica tsclient call echoes "bad option".

Is this related to ICA setup or to tsclient?

rdesktop use 32 bit depth and not 24

My TS connections to a Win 2008 TS Server always ended up with 16 bit color depth even if 24 bits was configured in Terminal Server Client.
Googling a little for examples of how to use rdesktop directly, I was able to connect in 24 bits depth to my server.

The correct argument to pass to rdesktop is "-a 32" but rdesktop is launched with "-a 24".
This is due to an error in the rdesktop man page which tell to use 24.
