4.4.6 connection to db fails

Hi, I have installed typo3 winstaller 4.4.6 and when I run it typo3 is not able to connect to the db.
However looking at log files everything seems to work.
I have installed also 4.4.5 and works correctly

Deleting instance where name contains a dash, '-', fails.

I deleted an instance named 'GQuiz-2' and got the following in the typo3start.log file:

It seems that some escaping needs to be done..?

Can not create new instances

I have installed TYPO3Winstaller in C:\TYPO3_4.2.3\ (to work around bug #2282138).

When trying to create a new instance, TYPO3Winstaller just 'hangs'. The typo3start.log says:

09:16:48 [Error] - Error while creating new TYPO3 Instance 'GQuiz'

The attached screenshot shows when the creation hangs: At the very end of the instance-creation process. If I click the 'Ok' button, then the following is written to the log, but the instance still does not work:

09:17:47 [Info] - Options updated successfully
09:18:01 [Info] - Saved TYPO3 Instance 'GQuiz'
09:18:05 [Info] - Options updated successfully
09:18:06 [Info] - Starting 'http://localhost:8502/?localsites'

Error during install of 4.2.3: Databases not created.

When installing TYPO3Winstaller 4.2.3 installation fails for all three databases. All three databases are empty.

The errors for each database looks like this:

It might be the space in the path is to blame. Installation of 4.2.2 worked fine when installing into a path with spaces.

Attached is the complete typo3start.log file.

Set 'forceCharset' to 'utf-8'

This is a plea to haveTYPO3Winstaller come with a localconf.php setting of:

$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['BE']['forceCharset'] = 'utf-8';

And likewise, update MySQL's file my.ini to use utf8:

default-character-set=utf8

9 tables are unusable when adding instances from Options

When creating a new instances from the tab 'TYPO3 Instances' in the 'Options' dialog, the following tables will not work in the new instance:
cache_hash, cache_imagesizes, sys_log, cache_pages, cache_pagesection, cache_typo3temp_log, cache_md5params, fe_session_data, and fe_sessions
(the table definitions are found in the files t3lib/stddb/tables.sql and typo3/sysext/cms/ext_tables.sql).

The reason seems to be that these are defined to use InnoDB as their storage engine. InnoDB table files can not be copied (MyISAM table files can).

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a new instance from TYPO3Winstaller -> Options -> TYPO3 Instances -> Add
2) Log in to the newly created instance and install the extension 'Frontend Login for Website Users', EXT:felogin (comes with Typo3).
3) Configure the extension (i.e. create a SysFolder with FE users, and put the plug-in on a page).
4) Try to login as a FE user. Result: You can not login.
5) Go to phpMyAdmin and verify that the table is not working.

In phpMyAdmin I get the following error mesage:

#1016 - Can't open file: 'fe_sessions.ibd' (errno: 1)

I do not know how to solve this in TYPO3Winstaller, so this bug report only states the problem, not the solution - sorry :-(

Upgrade eAccelerator to 0.9.5.3

The version of eAccelerator shipped in the typo3winstaller package is 0.9.5.2, but since May this year a new version 0.9.5.3 is out. The changed are described here: http://www.eaccelerator.net/wiki/Release-0.9.5.3

When I insert extension=php_curl.dll in php.ini, then I get the follogin

phpMyadmin module not available

I've installed the the Typo3 4.0 Quickstart package
but I miss the phpMyadmin module in the BE.
How to solve this?

Ghostsript failed

(most with FreePDF) is installed.
